PROJECT: BAUBLE BAR FOR LEUKEMIA/LYMPHOMA SOCIETY

Right before I moved to New Orleans I worked on a styling job that was pretty special so I wanted to share it with you. Bauble Bar is an online jewelry and accessory company from NYC that came to Austin, TX to shoot a special friend of the company for their “Guest Bartender” story that they feature monthly. For this special series they chose Megan Runser as their guest bartender, a beautiful woman fighting stage 4 Lymphoma who got in touch with the company to express her dream of being a Guest Bartender on their website. Megan reached out to Bauble Bar never thinking that her dream would actually come true. BaubleBar cofounders Amy and Daniella met Megan five months ago and were immediately inspired by her sense of humor and love of color and decided to collaborate with Megan to help raise money to fight her illness.

For the guest bartender series, the company works with the guest on designing a collection together that then sells exclusively online(past bartenders have included Emma Roberts and Coco Rocha to name a few). In designing the collection, Megan wanted to include her new mantra of getting back to her healthy self or ” as good as gold”. She loves gold jewelry and was highly influenced by the 1940′s, Art Deco and Cleopatra when creating this collection with Bauble Bar.

The Bauble Bar team came down to Austin and I styled Megan in some really great outfits to feature the jewelry that she created. Megan was such a delight and so positive and beautiful even while going through some pretty rough stages of chemotherapy. She had just shaved her head the day before the shoot and had just gotten her coveted wig that she has spent months planning for. This girl was such an inspiration for positive vibes and confidence and it was such a special day for all of us on set.

Here is a snapshot of what they put up on the site. If you like some of the jewelry, go over to the site and BUY something. 100% OF THE PROCEEDS GO TO THE LEUKEMIA/LYMPHOMA SOCIETY. I am very inspired by this company for being so generous and I’m grateful for including me in making Megan’s dreams come true.
