I have been out on the road again traveling to Los Angeles for work, Las Vegas for market and ending the journey in Montana for a girls trip. It’s been hectic so I’ve been missing posting on TSR and have a lot to share with you from the last three weeks.
My trip to Montana was beyond amazing and I fit right in with all of my western wear of denim, turquoise, cowboy hats and boots. Montana is home to some real deal cowboys and I loved spotting some of them in the local bars and restaurants around the towns we visited. Montana’s cowboys look a bit different from Texas cowboys. Montana’s look is Old West and is usually supported by long scruffy beards, a seriously large cowboy hat, statement making spurs, tall boots worn over jeans, and classic western shirts and vests. I fit right in and loved every minute of it.
Living in Texas, I’ve become very accustomed to seeing people in cowboy and western clothes and its exciting for me to now see so much of this look in fashion right now. I knew the minute that I saw Chanel’s Resort show in Dallas this year that western fashions would be all over the Fall 2014 editorials. To no surprise, they are everywhere.
I just ran across this editorial, “Kowboy Karlie”, for Tamara Mellon’s collection that is smoking hot and features Karlie Kloss dressed in the luxury collection donning cowboy hats and boots and putting on her best cowgirl image while seducing a few good looking cowboys. I love seeing different designer’s interpretation of western wear and I think this interpretation is pretty darn sexy and shows women that you can pretty much wear a cowboy hat with anything these days.
If there is one accessory that is a must for this fall, it is with no question a great looking Western inspired hat. Go get yourself one and stay tuned with recommendations from me here on The Sche Report.
