This past weekend I was in NYC styling a very exciting branding video for a client and I had one day off to explore and spent it checking out the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit at The Brooklyn Museum. I had heard great things about this exhibit and I was highly impressed at how well it was pulled together. The exhibit featured around 100 of JPG’s couture and ready to wear looks from his entire career and was broken into segments that highlighted his major contributions to fashion from Feminism, Androgyny, Streetwear and Music. His body of work is truly amazing to see up close and personal and the details and design that goes into each of his garments really blew me away. This man is a true artist in every sense and I have a much higher level of respect for his talent after seeing this exhibit. Anyone traveling to NYC, this exhibit is a must see!

Here is a glimpse at some of my favorite moments and details:

Holograms of faces talking are on each of the mannequins. This one is JPG

My favorite dress of the exhibit: a sequin classic striped dress with feathers
