I’m very excited to share with you a project that I have been working on with my client, Alex & Lee, for what seems like an eternity. Shortly after I started working with them, Lee told me about his vision of transferring his creative collages onto fabric as well as every other type of surface that could encapsulate a print. We decided to start with transferring the prints onto fabrics to create scarves and the process turned out to take a bit longer than we had expected. Finding the right printer overseas as well as the perfect fabrics was a big process of trial and error. But alas, our first collection is done and we are thrilled with how they turned out and excited to have them ready for the Fall 2013 selling season.
The scarves come in two different fabrications: 100% silk crepe(shown above) and 80% modal/20% wool (one example shown below).
Lee has created hundreds of these collages over the past 20 years and we are very excited to expand his vision in the next year into home goods and interiors. Just like the necklaces, these collage prints are fascinating and mind blowing and so unique to the Alex & Lee vision.
Retailing between $220-$250, we are excited to be able to offer a lower priced totem for those that aren’t able to afford the necklaces.
