I wanted to share with you a few of the fun jewelry items I spotted at LA market last week. People that know me are aware that I like big and bold accessories, that is what I am most attracted to. I can appreciate a delicate gold necklace with stones and charms, but for the most part those are not the lines that will grab my attention. When I’m scouring the market, I am always looking for something unusual..something that stands out from what everyone else is doing. I am also looking at craftmanship, brand identity and quality. Take a look at some of my favorite accessory items spotted at COEUR below.
A collection from London, established by designer Bex Manners in 2006, combines worldwide cultural references with high-end sophistication and a stylist’s twist. An International brand, the line is carried all over the wold in some of the most sought after boutiques from Maria Luisa, 10 Corsocomo, Harvey Nichols and Browns Focus. I loved Bex’s use of bright color and bold technique for her Spring collection, a few of my favorite pieces below.

Mignonne Gavigan and former Bergdorf Goodman buyer, Laetitia Stanfield, launched the debut collection of Roarke “Le Marais” in 2009 with their iconic beaded bib necklace called “Le Charlot”. The designers have continued to re-invent this iconic piece season after season with new beading ideas as well as convertible styles. The line for Fall 2012 is Native American inspired with bold graphic design and color combinations. A great item to spruce up any outfit, the bib necklace is a great investment piece.

Started by Leeora Catalan in 1995, the Noir concept is based on exaggerating classics while injecting a sense of humor into show-stopping pieces. Every season Catalan changes the collection to include a wider variety than the season before while striving to keep the collection timeless. This collection has been around awhile and has collaborated with several top collections every season such as L.A.M.B., Marc Jacobs and DKNY. You can find the line in top stores all over the wold and adorning celebrities worldwide. I always enjoy seeing what NOIR does every season as it is always colorful and full of fun elements. The quality is great, and they definitely aren’t afraid to make statement pieces. Below was my favorite.

This new line is designed by Los Angeles designer Amanda Urrego and was originally started with her one of a kind creations made with vintage necklaces and materials. She still creates one of a kind items, but also has a smaller line she presented for Spring of paint splattered beaded varieties that were bright and colorful and caught my eye. The coolest part about these is that the paint splatter is only on one side, the other side clean allowing the wearer more diversity in her styling. Check them out below.
