The desert is a great place to find inspiration in nature. There are many amazing blooms and all sorts of unusual plants that are dictating my color mood for Spring/Summer 2012. I have been so taken aback by all of the beauty out here and there is something unique everywhere you turn your head. The majestic nature of Joshua Tree National Park is awe-inspiring and I thought I would share with you a few of the sights we saw while exploring our way through it.
I love all the shades of bright and dull greens mixed together. The moss on the rocks came in several different shades of green and were a beautiful contrast to the dried branches and trees that we also saw. The fuchsia blooms are amazing and the different tones of yellow feel so right for next Spring.
As we were exploring, we stumbled upon a bird’s nest in a cactus and experienced Mother nature firsthand.
The day ended with an amazing sunset which led into a spectacular night of star gazing and relaxing by the campfire. Tomorrow, we change venues and head towards Pioneertown to go see Chris Robinson at Pappy and Harriet’s. Stay tuned…

Margaret! What awesome pics! So beautiful and very valuable as color inspiration for fashion. I never looked at color in nature quite that way!
