TOP FALL 2010 TRENDS: #6 SHORTS

Shorts made a major appearance on the Fall runways keeping inline with the push towards American Sportswear.  Seen in tweed, leather, felted wool and transparent chiffon, shorts were mostly shown in Classic styles paired with a Romantic feel.

Everyone from Dolce and Gabbana to Comme de Garcons had their take on this classic silhouette.  Tommy Hilfiger referenced 80′s Prep School while Alexander Wang’s versions channeled the 90′s cult movie “Heathers”.  Vanessa Bruno created leather and transparent varieties and Marni went retro with modern walking shorts.
